Jeffrey "OneShot" Wong Just Won't Die Rebirth Ranma sat around lazily in the livingroom couch, busy watching some anime on television. It was an early weekend morning tradition he seemed to always do. He had been back home for a little over a month, and all four weekends out of that month, he spent his morning sitting in front of the television. "Why do you always watch that stuff?" Asuka asked as she walked through the livingroom on her way to the kitchen. She was on her way to helping Akane with the breakfast. "Because I like it anime," Ranma said "How so?" Ranma was about to ignore her but instead said, "Because I do. If I like anime, that's my choice. Jeez, it's not even eight in the morning and already you're starting somethin'. Heck, you sound like Akane when she was young, always believing I have some kinda hidden agenda in what I do," "What did you say?" Akane asked, her head popping up by the livingroom entrance. "You got some superhuman hearing or somethin'? Weren't you in the kitchen?" he asked. She narrowed her eyes. "He said that when you were young, you always jumped to conclusions," Asuka commented, crossing her arms over her chest. Ranma did a double take, "W-what? When the heck did I say that?" "Oh did he?" Akane asked, her battle aura forming. "How how the heck do you of all people form battle aura? You're not even human," Ranma commented. "You jerk!" she shouted. Akane charged toward him, mallet appearing in her hands from out of nowhere. She brought the mallet down on Ranma with vicious force. However, the outcome was unexpected for an AT field formed in front of him, leaving him unscathed. "Ha ha," Ranma laughed, sticking his tongue out, "Y'forgot about that, huh? You can't hurt me anymore," Akane started fuming, "Oh yeah?" Ranma paused, a bit nervous. He didn't like the look on her face. She walked over to the television and turned it off. "W-w-what are you doing? I was just watching that!" Ranma said, getting up to his feet. "Not anymore!" she snapped, "If I can't hit you, then I'll get back at you through other means!" "Argh! That's not fair!" he said, walking over to the television, only to find his path blocked. When he tried to walk around, Akane stepped toward the side to continue blocking his path. Asuka couldn't help but smirk in amusement. "Hey, what gives? This is my house! That's my television!" Ranma said, still trying to get back, "I bought this stuff with my own money! Dontcha have some housewifey woman things you're supposed to be doing like making breakfast?" "What?!?!?" Akane and Asuka both shouted. That was an insult to all women everywhere. "Why you!" Akane said, swinging her mallet again. Once again, it struck AT field. Ranma said, "C'mon, why dontcha just quit it? Y'know I've got an AT field. What, ya think I was some kinda idiot that would choose to become really human after my lil stinct as God? You're funny," "His AT field only protects him from life threatening attacks," Asuka commented. "Hey!" he began. "Oh yeah!" Akane realized, putting the mallet away. "Now where exactly does that mallet go?" he asked to no one in particular. Before he knew it, Akane's open palm struck Ranma across his cheek, the force of the impact sending him flying bodily across the livingroom and out through one of the windows. Akane smirked, "Man, that felt good," "Way to go," Asuka said, feeling vicariously self-satisfied as well. "What's going on here? Did something happen?" Shinji asked from the stairway. He had woken up a short moment ago and had heard some noise downstairs. "None of your business," Asuka snapped at him coldly, as she followed after Akane toward the kitchen. However, before she did, she made a big grin as she walked back over to the couch and picked up a tiny object, the remote control. Shinji was left alone to scratch his head, wondering what had just occurred. As he came down the stairs and into the livingroom where he noticed Ranma wasn't there watching his weekend morning anime. He glanced over where he saw the broken window. Shinji smirked, realizing what must had happened. There was a knock at the front door. Shinji went to the front to answer it. Ranma didn't look all that happy as he said, "Um, I didn't have my keys," "Akane?" Shinji asked. Ranma nodded. "What did you say?" Shinji asked, still smirking. "What makes you think it was something I said?" he asked, narrowing his eyes, "She was the one that started it. It also didn't help that Asuka seems to have had it in for me and contributed her two cents to my demise. Anyway, thanks for lettin' me in," Ranma walked past Shinji and back into the livingroomwhere he sat back down on the couch. He then proceeded to look through the cushions for the remote control. Since Akane had turned the television off with her own hand, than meant the remote control was still where he last left it. "Where the hell's the remote?" Ranma muttered in frustration after a few minutes of rummaging around, "I'm missing my show," "The remote? I saw Asuka take it," Shinji said. "Damnit!" he muttered, flopping down on the couch in resignation, "Now I can't watch my show," "Um, why dontcha just turn it on by hand?" Shinji commented, "You're spending more time and effort looking for the remote than it would had you just walked up to the television and turned it on by hand," "You don't turn the television on with your hand," he commented. Shinji nodded, "That's true. I guess you should go get it back from Asuka then," "What's up?" Ryoga said as he entered the house. Since he actually resided in that house, he had the key and let himself in. He had been gone for the past month, disappearing the very next day after Ranma and Rei had come back. As to where he had been all this time, no one but Ryoga knew. Shinji turned toward Ryoga, "Oh, good morning, Ryoga. It's nice seeing you again," "G'morning, Shinji," he said, "How's everything going?" "Fine," Shinji replied, "However, Ranma can't seem to find the remote so he can't watch television," "Good," Ryoga smirked, "I hope he misses whatever show it is that he's missing right now," "Well look who's here," Ranma said wryly, "The Eternally Lost Boy, Ryoga," "Eternally Lost? Why you!" Ryoga sneered, taking a step toward Ranma. Ranma stood up, not one bit intimidated. "Um, g-guys," Shinji felt very nervous, "I really don't think it'll be wise if you guys fight. I mean, both of you guys do live here afterall," Ryoga and Ranma turned their attention toward Shinji, making him feel even more nervous. "He has a point there," Ranma said. Ryoga nodded in agreement. "How 'bout a truce?" Ranma suggested. "Very well, but only until we are out of the house," Ryoga said. "Fine," Ranma agreed. "Who's at the front door? Is that Ryoga I hear?" they heard Akane's voice from the kitchen. "Yes," Shinji called out. "G-good morning, Akane," Ryoga called down the hallway toward the kitchen. "Ryoga, you're back," came a soft voice. Everyone looked up the stairway where they say Rei, still clad in her night gown. Since she was on the top step, two of the three males had a clear view of her cotton white panties. Shinji and Ryoga blushed a deep shade of red when they noticed and quickly turned their attention away. Ranma whom had her back toward Rei, wasn't aware of why they were blushing. Akane emerged from the kitchen, Asuka as well. They came down the hallway to greet Ranma, wondering where he had been the past month. When they approached the group, they noticed Shinji and Ryoga's discomfort. Ranma, turned around, wondering what was going on. He happened to have glanced up and realized what made them blush for he got a clear view of Rei's cotton white panties as she was walking down the stairs. "Hm, white, I figured they would be," he commented to himself, smirking, hoping to make light of the situation. However, just as he was about to tell Rei that she should get changed, Akane noticed Rei and what Ranma had been commenting on. "Ranma you pervert!!!" Akane shouted, fuming. She slapped Ranma across the check, sending him flying bodily right back out of the house via the open front door. He ended up crashing against the wall across the street and falling to the ground. However, it looked like the wall took more damage than him. Ranma got back up to his feet, "Damn, that was uncalled for," He brushed the debris from his clothes. "You deserved it!" Akane shouted out to him front the front door. I'm gonna give that woman a piece of my mind, Ranma thought to himself. She keeps on jumping to conclusions. Why can't she just wait and find out the truth before assuming something. As he was walking across the street toward the house, a sphere of bright light suddenly appeared right in front of him, causing him to shield his eyes from its brilliance. "What the?" he said to himself. Everyone else had to shield their eyes as well. When the light disappeared, a lone figure stood in its place. Ranma was the first one to assess the situation as he regarded that figure. Standing before Ranma was and exactly replica of him. The person stood the same height, even wore the same clothes Ranma liked, and even had the exact hairstyle. At first, Ranma thought he was looking face-to-face with an Angel, however, that should not be the case since Angels will never be bothering him again. He made sure of that before he gave up that role as God. He took a closer look and suddenly noticed that there was a difference. That person before him had two different colored eyes. His right eye was blue while his left eye was red. "Ranma?" Ranma asked, wondering if it was the Ranma from the other world, the one whom possessed his and Rei's memories. The one that had detested his very own existence and had even tried to take his own life. FinalRanma glanced at Ranma. "You!" FinalRanma sneered. Without saying another word, he cocked his arm back. Ranma, without thought, noticed the sudden aggressive motion and took a step back. That instinctive step back saved his life for FinalRanma swung at him. A blue trail followed the arc of FinalRanma's punch as trances of electricity could be seen flickering about, a humming noise heard as the space in front of the path of FinalRanma's fist distorting slightly. "Holy shit!" Ranma said in surprise, nearly tripping on his own two feet. He ended up falling backwards but quickly did a hand planted backflip a short distance away. He regarded FinalRanma where he saw a red aura forming around the man. "W-whatcha do that for?!" Ranma asked, his heart racing. He couldn't believe how close that punch had come to hitting him. What was even worse was that he didn't even need to be struck to know that had it connected, he would have been killed. FinalRanma sneered, "Did you really think that I would not find out what you did?" "Huh? Whatcha talking about?" he asked. "You made a mistake of giving me so many powers!!" FinalRanma sneered, "With those powers, I found out that I am who I am because of you!!! And for that, I will kill you!!!" "Oh shit! Oh shit! Oh shit!" Ranma was constantly telling himself as he ran for his life. A short distance behind him FinalRanma was giving chase. "Where the hell's the nanban mirror?!?" he muttered to himself, jumping high into the air and landing on a rooftop. He continued running along the rooftops, leaping great bounds through the air, hoping to lengthen the gap between him and FinalRanma, much to no avail. FinalRanma easily mimicked Ranma's movements. Everything Ranma did, FinalRanma was also physically capable of doing a thousandfold better. "Goddamn, he's never gonna get tired!" he commented. Although he wasn't breathing heavily, he was sure that FinalRanma would eventually catch him for his endurance was infinite. Ranma suddenly realized something. He had wings. He lept up high into the sky as two gigantic wings shot out from his back as he took flight. In a single flap of his powerful wings, he darted through the air, easily leaving FinalRanma still chasing on the rooftops down below. FinalRanma continued to chase as he watched Ranma's figure get smaller and smaller as he got farther and farther away. Although he continued to run in Ranma's general direction for several minutes, Ranma soon disappeared beyond the horizon. FinalRanma let out an annoyed breath as he slowed to a halt, realizing that it was useless to give chase by feet. He had no idea how Ranma managed to create wings, but he knew those wings gave Ranma a huge advantage in terms of speed. FinalRanma stood where he was for several moments, gathering his thoughts wondering what he should do now. After a while, he came up with an idea. Ranma would eventually go back to his house. That is where FinalRanma would be able to get his hands on the guy. He turned around and started walking in the direction of Ranma's house. He was a good fifteen miles away, having ran that distance while chasing Ranma. However, he didn't bother to run back, deciding to take his time and walking. Sure, it would take several hours, but it wasn't as if he was in a hurry or anything. As he walked for several minutes, he glanced up in the sky where he caught sight of the winged Ranma darting by at supersonic speeds, also heading in the direction of the house. It only took FinalRanma a moment to realize that. He sneered, "You may get there before me, but I won't allow you much time if I can do anything about it," With that said, he made a full-out sprint toward the house. Ranma rushed into the house. Everyone, even Sylia, Priss, Linna, Misato, Ritsuko, and Nene were there. The house seemed to be in a panic. "R-Ranma! You're back!" Akane said, relief in her voice. "Akane just told us that the 'God' version of you is trying to kill you," Sylia said, "What happened?" "I dunno, but it's definitely got me a bit freaked out," Ranma said, a bit nervous, "Where the hell's Ryoga?" "He was chasing after you and that other version of you when you made a run for it," Sylia answered. "Goddamnit! Bascially, that means we ain't gonna see Ryoga for a while, just what a needed," Ranma let out an annoyed breath, "Where the hell's that guy when you need him," The room became deathly silent. Ranma never showed signs of anxiety before. The sight of seeing Ranma on edge was very disturbing to everyone. It was as if the only constant in their life, the fact that Ranma always knew what to do, was no longer a constant. He said, "I can't stay long, he is on his way here and will arrive very shortly so I need to make use of what lil time I have. I need to find the nanban mirror and fast!" "Why, how come?" Nene asked. "I know where it is, I'll go get it," Rei said softly, leaving the room and heading upstairs. "When I was God, I saw glimpses of so many worlds that exist in parallel to ours," he commented, "On one world, there existed a person that I truly believe might be able to help me out considering my situation," "Who? That spiky haired guy Ryoga keeps mentioning about?" Shinji asked. He remember Ryoga telling him of his adventure on a different world and how he met perhaps the most powerful person to have ever existed, next to FinalRanma that is. He figured perhaps that person and Ranma teaming up might have a chance. "No," Ranma shook his head, "Not him. I case you're wondering, we aren't dealing with someone that's insanely powerful. We're dealing with someone that is as powerful as God. There's a big difference there," "What's your plan?" Misato asked. "Yeah, and is there any way we can help?" Ritsuko asked, "From what I saw, it seems like that Ranma is only interested in you. Asuka said he didn't even so much as cast the others a glance when he ran right past them and through the house as he chased after you," Ranma said, "Help? Perhaps, perhaps not. Try and find Ryoga and ask him to get help from whoever that guy was that he's mentioned. Maybe he can help. However, I don't think it's of much help because this Ranma can not be physically beat. Nothing conventional or even physical can harm him," "So what do you plan to do? Fight him mentally?" Akane asked. "No," he said, "I'm gonna go about fighting him time-wise," "Huh?" everyone asked. "Ranma's handicap is his lack of understanding what he is capable of," Ranma said, "So I'm gonna fight him using something he knows very little about and I know much about, and that is 'Time'," "I don't think we follow you," Akane said for everyone. Ranma said, "There's a person I saw that can control time. I'm going to ask for her help," "Who is she?" Asuka asked. "Sailor Pluto, a woman named Setsuna," he said. Rei came down the stairs, two nanban mirrors in hand, "I've brought down both. I'm not too sure if you needed one or both," Ranma gave Rei an appreciative look, "Thanks, Rei. I only need one. The other one, Ryoga could use it," "What do you want us to do?" Akane asked, concerned. She, must like everyone else, wanted to help Ranma in whatever way possible. Ranma shook his head, "I dunno. No offense, but I don't think there's any way you can help. However, if you can, get in contact with Urd. She might be able to help out. And don't forget Ryoga," "How are we to reach them?" Shinji asked nervously. The thought that FinalRanma was on his way to the house had him on edge. Ranma shrugged, "How the heck am I to know? Ryoga's probably wandering around somewhere. With situations like this, he's bound to show up. Hopefully, he doesn't show up too late. Urd is probably aware of what's going on since she is all-knowing and all," "What do you think she could be doing?" Ritsuko asked, "If she knows about what's going on, then why isn't she here?" "I dunno," Ranma said in exasperation, "I dunno. I don't even why that version of myself is after me. However, I know that it's definitely with intent to kill me," Sylia stepped forward, "Go, do what you have to do. Find this person named Setsuna, we'll stay here and wait for Urd or Ryoga to show up. We'll be sure to relay the message," "Thanks," he said. "In the meanwhile," she added, "We'll go contact Luna. She might know something about this. She was a great help then and would be a great help this time around," Ranma thought about it for a moment. In a situation like this, Luna would probably be of great help. As for how helpful Lina could be, that was a different story. At the moment, he was wishing that neither Luna nor Lina had gotten homesick, or perhaps worldsick would have been more like it, and had gone back their own world for the time being. Emiko had also choosent to go back to her own world along with Luna and Lina as well, wanting to check on the princess, Rene, to see how she was doing. "Luna and Lina said they were gonna come back," Ranma said, "When they do, tell them of what happened. I really dunno how much they can help, but getting word out to everyone of what's going might help," "Right," everyone said. "Well, I'm off," Ranma said. He couldn't believe what was going on. He had only gotten settled in back at home for not too long before he is forcibly sent packing on yet another adventure, an adventure he definitely doesn't want to take part in. "And remember," Ranma added, "This God-version of myself is extremely dangerous. Remember that. He is more dangerous than you can imagine," "I know," Shinji said, "I've seen what he's done against the Angels and such," "That Ranma's only interested in getting his hands on me," Ranma said, "I saw it in his eyes. You guys probably have nothing to worry about, but in spite of that, he's still very dangerous so don't approach him," "We understand," everyone said. "Shinji," Ranma turned toward the young man, "Watch over the girls. You're in charge here while I'm gone," Shinji nodded, "I understand," He didn't bother to show the queasy feeling in his stomach, the neausous feeling he was getting that made him want to vomit. Sure, he had trained intensely under Ranma's tutelage and was a very skilled martial artist now, but it didn't mean he was fit to take Ranma's place in watching over everyone. With that said, Ranma shed a tear on the nanban mirror. A sphere of light enveloped Ranma, causing everyone in the room to have to shield their eyes from its brilliance. When it disappeared, Ranma was no longer there. When Ranma was gone, everyone was left alone to collect their thoughts. "Shinji, in charge?! Why the heck would Ranma make Shinji in charge?!" Asuka couldn't help but say in distain. "W-what are we going to do?" Misato asked. "There's nothing we really can do," Ritsuko said, "All we can do is wait. Ranma seems to be on his own," Everyone became deathly silent. Ranma didn't need yet another adventure. FinalRanma arrived at the house around ten minutes after Ranma had left. Upon arriving, he found himself facing several adult females and three children. He didn't really remember who they were but something deep inside of him told him that he somehow knew them in some what or another. "Where is he?" he asked in a cold voice to no one in particular. "H-he's not here!" Shinji stammered, his voice full of nervousness. "Where did he go?" FinalRanma turned his attention to Shinji, beginning to walk toward the young man. "I told you, he's not here," Shinji forced himself to be less nervous. FinalRanma stood in front of Shinji. Although Shinji had grown quite a bit since he first arrived on this world, FinalRanma was a good deal taller and larger. The females stood silently as they all watched FinalRanma and Shinji staring at one another. Shinji looked extremely frightened of FinalRanma, him having remembered of how cold that man was and his total disregard for human life. FinalRanma reached a hand out to grab Shinji but Shinji reacted in time to weave toward the right and step under the extended arm, taking a defensive step back for spacing purposes. "I-I told you, he's not here," Shinji said once again, "He's not even on this world," FinalRanma darted forward with lightning speed, catching Shinji and everyone else by surprise, grabbing him by the neck, lifting him up off his feet. That had been his original intention had Shinji not dodged like he did. "Where did he go?" FinalRanma sneered, contempt in his voice. "Let go of him!!" Misato was the first to come to Shinji's rescue, reaching out and grabbing at FinalRanma's hand, hoping bend one of his finger to loosen his grip, much to no avail. FinalRanma, still holding Shinji, used his free hand to grab one of Misato's forearm. He gave it a squeeze, causing her to fall to her knees in pain under his deathgrip. "Let go of them!!" Priss rushed forward. She swung at FinalRanma's head, hitting him in the jaw. She ended up pulling her hand away in pain, one of her fingers most likely dislocated. It felt like punching a brick wall. "Goddamnit!!" Priss winced, stepping back, her eyes tearing from the pain shooting up her arm. "Why you!!" FinalRanma let go of Misato and swun his free arm at Priss, intent on caving her face in, a glowing effect trailing the arc of his fist. Unfortunately, he missed as Priss barely dodges, tripping over her own feet and falling backwards and on to her backside. The girls stared in shock as they noticed FinalRanma had just tried punching Priss with the same force and power as he had tried punching Ranma. This man had just tried to kill Priss but had narrowly missed. "We did nothing to you, please, let us go," Shinji said in pleading voice. FinalRanma turned his gaze toward Shinji. Their gaze locked for several moments before FinalRanma let out an annoyed breath and released his grip, Shinji falling to his feet, gasping for air. "Tellme, where did Ranma go?" FinalRanma asked once again, patience seemingly running low. For a man with infinite patience, his seemed to be in short supply. "We don't know," Shinji said, slowly getting to his feet, "I'm telling you the truth," FinalRanma leaned forward grabbed Shinji's collar, peering in to his eyes. After a moment, he pushed Shinji away like refuse, the young man falling to the ground. "Hmph!" he said, turning around and walking away. All the females rushed toward Shinji's side. "Are you okay?" Linna asked. Everyone noticed red marks along Shinji's neck. Shinji nodded, "Yeah," "I-I thought he was going to kill you," Akane said, inspecting the marks on the young man's neck. "I'm fine," he replied, trying to catch his breath. He got to his feet, he knees a bit weak, "That Ranma doesn't kill," "He just tried to kill me," Priss commented, "Whever kind of punch that was, I know it was definitely powerful enough to kill," Shinji rubbed at his throat, "I probably know this Ranma a bit better than enough else because I was actually by his side when he fought against those Angels and boomers. He doesn't attack unless provoked," Priss was silent. She didn't know that. Linna said, "We all know him, but I guess you're right, Shinji, you know him better than the rest of us. What do you know about him?" "Not much more than you unfortuantely," he replied, "He seems much like the same one I remember. I don't think he recognizes me or any of us," "You think he has amnesia?" Ritsuko asked. "I dunno," Shinji shrugged, "However, he seems much like what I last remembered. He doesn't attack unless provoked and he can't get hurt," "Well, obviously," Sylia commented, "I remember seeing him brushing off blows from Ryoga like they were nothing when we all appeared on his world back then," Shinji nodded, "That's right. However, I've seen the stuff he's been through, especially when he fought those billions of Angels. He doesn't get hurt, period. The best course of action is to actually keep your distance from him," "Then how are we to stop him?" Nene asked. "We can't," Shinji looked down at the nanban mirror in his hands. It wasn't even afternoon yet and Shinji was the only one at the house, everyone else having gone out in hopes of finding Ryoga. Although there was a higher chance of getting hit by lightning over finding Ryoga, everyone would rather look for him instead of waiting around doing nothing. Shinji had opted to stay home, if ever the case Ryoga might show up. "Damn, and Ryoga was here this morning," Shinji muttered to himself, "If he hadn't gone chasing after both Ranma's, he wouldn'tve gotten lost in the process," Shinji sighed. Now was not a time to dwell over it. Ryoga's lack of direction was something everyone needed to get used to. "Should I follow after Ranma?" Shinji asked himself, "No, I can't. Ranma put me in charge here. I need to do my job," Shinji smirked a bit. He wondered if that was a hasty decision of a well thought out one on Ranma's part, to have him be in charge of everyone. Over the years that he's been on this world, he has grown in to a very good martial artist, no where near Ranma's level, but a good martial artist nonetheless. His role on the other world dealing with FinalRanma had been a vital one. Before then, he had helped in actually defeating Angels when they attacked this world. "I guess I'm not as much a weakling as I used to be," he told himself with a bit of a smirk. He took a moment to look around to make sure no one was around to hear. That would be embarrassing. "There you are," came a voice. Shinji turned around, recognizing the voice, "Ryoga!" "Sorry, I kinda got lost," he gave a meek smile, "I guess I shouldn'tve gone chasing after both Ranmas like that. I should've known I would have gotten lost on the way back," "I'm glad you're back," Shinji said. He was grateful he had choosen to stay behind. That was a good decision on his part. Ryoga would have most likely gotten back to the house, found no one, and had gone out looking for everyone else and gotten lost in the process once again. "Tell me, what's going on here?" Ryoga asked, sitting down on the couch. He didn't want to wander around the house for fear of getting lost. Shinji held forward the nanban mirror, "Ranma would like you to assemble your friends. He's gone to this world where there's a person that seems to be able to control time named Setsuna. That's all I know," "A world where there's a girl named Setsuna?" Ryoga asked, "How general can that Ranma be? There are infinite worlds with girls named Setsuna on 'em," "But this world has a girl that can control time," Shinji said, "Is that any help?" Ryoga shrugged, "Well, I have no idea what world that is, but I guess it's a start," He took hold of the nanban mirror, looking down at it, "And Ranma wants me to get my friends to help?" Shinji nodded, "Yeah, whatever his name is," "Goku," Ryoga said. "Yeah, that guy," Shinji nodded, "That guy you described as having spikey hair and really powerful," Ryoga scratched his head, "I wonder if it's really necessary to ask for his help. This version of Ranma can't be hurt. My friend is plenty strong, but even I wonder if he can handle someone of that calibur. This Ranma is a walking God," "It couldn't hurt," Shinji commented, shrugging. "I guess you have a point," Ryoga nodded, getting up to his feet, "I'll head out now to get in contact with him. Where's everyone else?" "They went out looking for you," came the reply. "What are you going to do now?" Ryoga asked. "I'm going to continue to stay here. At least now with you in the know, all we've got left to getting in contact with is Luna. She should be able to help too. She and Lina and Emiko are expected to be coming back sometime tomorrow," "Good, you wait here and stay and wait for them," Ryoga said, "I'll head out and get my friend. I'll then go looking for Ranma afterwards," "All right, good luck," "Thanks," On a totally different world, in what looked like another dimension of that world, a dimension that had no ceiling and no floor, there was a giant white door. Standing by that white door was a woman with long flowing green hair that came down to mid-thigh, holding a giant staff that looked similar to a key, perhaps the key to that door behind her. This woman was very beautiful, far older than she looked, having been around since the beginning of time. She wore a short dark blue skirt with a white form- fitting blouse, knee high dark blue high heeled boots and white gloves that extended all the way up to her elbows. She had infinite patience, having remained there for well over a thousand years without speaking to a single person, the last person she having spoken to being a young woman she cared for by the name of Chibi-Usa when she paid her friend a visit are her wedding. That had been a long time ago. A flash of light appeared a short distance away from her, causing her to assume a defensive stance. When the light disappeared and she narrowed her eyes at a lone man standing before her. Ranma looked around, wondering aloud, "Damn, where the hell am I? And I thought that room in Heaven with those columns looked weird," He looked forward where he spotted the young woman. He began walking toward her. "Um, hello," he said, from a good distance away, his voice echoing. He wondered how such a wide open area could create such an echo but didn't think much of it. Setsuna continued to watch Ranma cautiously. Although a bit in a state of shock at seeing someone appearing in front of her after a thousand or so years, she was no less as ready for action now as back then. Those thousand years just standing around didn't make her soft. Ranma got in close enough that Setsuna was able to make out his features. She recognized who he was. "You!!!" she shouted, "You're the cause of all those timelines becoming distrupted!!!" Ranma looked confused, "Huh?" "If you think I'm going to allow you to disrupt this world's timeline, you've got another think coming," she said in a cold voice. She would not allow this man to wreck the timeline of the world she was watching over. Unlike all those other worlds, this one had her that would be standing in his way, and she would not stand idle while he went about causing havoc to this world's timeline. During the time that she had been standing watch over her post in front of the time gate, she had indulged herself to watch the paths that different worlds went. It wasn't until recently she stumbled upon an individual disrupting timelines of one world, moving on to another world and disrupting that world's timeline before moving on. If it weren't for the fact that she had her responsibilities of standing guard over the time gate, she would have left her post to find this man and stop him before he could distrupt yet more timelines. Ranma held his hands in front of him defensively, "Hold up, I dunno whatcha talking about. Why're you so angry at me? We don't even know each other," "I don't need to know you to know who you are when I know of what you've done," she said in annoyance. "And what might that be?" he asked out of curiosity. "You caused worlds to be attacked by divine beings, prevented chains of events that were supposed to have occurred," she said, "You're mere presence on different worlds leave a hole on that world's timeline," Ranma smirked, "Really? I didn't know I had that kind of an effect on worlds," "Are you trying to be funny?" she narrowed her eyes, not one bit amused. She had been following this man since the day he somehow ended up in a world being attacked by divine beings that seemed to have been labelled 'Angels' on several worlds, watching his exploits as he prevented Second Impact, and did so many other things on different worlds, all of his actions having profound effects. She followed his exploits all the way until when he disappeared when he merged with the Adam of the same where where he had prevented Second Impact. Ranma said, "No, I'm not trying to be funny," "Why are you here?" she asked, her voice guarded. "Look, I'm not here to do whatever the heck you expect me to do," he said, "I have no intention of fiddling with this world's timeline," "And you won't, not while I'm here," she said. "Can you lettme finish first?" he said, "Anyway, I came here to ask for some help," "What kind of help?" she asked. She had no intention of helping this man. Ranma asked, "First off, you said that you know of what I've done," "Yes," she replied, "I've been following your exploits on different worlds. They have profound effects," "Follow my exploits, huh?" he smirked, "From the way it sounds, it sounds like you're some kinda peeping tom," "W-what? I am not!" Setsuna quickly retorted. Ranma waved a dismissive hand, "That's besides the point. How much about me do you know? Up to what point of my life have you been following up to? Because if you've been following my life up to where I currently am, then you'd know why I'm here," "I don't know why you're here," she replied, figuring it was no harm in telling the truth, "I followed your life until the moment to merged with the Adam of the world where you prevented Second Impact. You disappeared after that happened. I know nothing about what occurred until you showed up now," "Well, to make a long story short," he said, "I became God. I created a person with my powers before I reliquished my role of God over to Urd. And now, that person with the power of God is trying to kill me," Setsuna was silent. She didn't know whether to laugh at how ludicrous the situation was or be worried that it might be true. "This is no joke," Ranma said, "It's pretty serious. When I was God, I knew of your abilities, one of them the ability to stop time. This guy can not be hurt through physical nor mental means. The only way to fight against him is through use of time-based attacks," Setsuna remained silent. The fact that he knew of her powers indicate that he knew a lot more than she had originally expected. As to him having been God, that's completely unbelieveable. "Look, it don't matter if you believe whether or not about my exploits," Ranma said, "However, you're the only one with the power that can actually help me out," "How does my power exactly help? If your opponent has the powers of God, then there is nothing you can do," she said. She didn't bother telling him that she had no intention of using such attacks. She was not only going to not help him, but she would never use her time-stop attack, ever. Ranma narrowed his eyes, "Oh, I get it, you never intended to help me anyway. I can read your mind," Setsuna was a bit surprised upon the comment. She didn't know Ranma could do that. "I also know you don't want to stand guard over the time gate anymore," he said, "I can help you with that," "Y-you can?" "Yes, but only if I survive this," he said. Great, Ranma thought to himself, once I'm done figuring out how to beat my God-counterpart, I'll need to go about figuring out how to save this girl from spending eternity here. Is it me or do these adventures just won't die?
