Jeffrey "OneShot" Wong Ranma 1/2: In his dreams (Opening scene: It is a beautiful friday afternoon. We are in front of Furinkan High School, looking up towards a third story window. We soon realize that it's the window to both Akane and Ranma's classroom. The camera zooms in and up to the window so we can see inside. Inside, Ranma is asleep, resting peacefully with his head buried between his folded arms. Akane, who is on the other side of the classroom, is busy trying to discern what the teacher is talking about, much to no avail. We see her sigh in frustration as she looks towards the clock.) Akane:(Thinking)Only five more minutes to go before the end of the schoolday.(Looks towards the still-asleep Ranma)I wonder how he could just sleep like that...... (Akane doesn't realize that Ranma doesn't sleep that much at night, what with Genma and his constant snoring. She doesn't realize that school time was the only time he ever gets any sleep. She just figures that the teacher's lectures are so boring that it puts him to sleep.) Ranma:(Screaming in his sleep)Akane, I love you! (Ranma's voice echoes loudly in the classroom. All the students hear that. They turn their attention from the teacher and onto Ranma. Ranma was still asleep, muttering something incoherent. Getting no reaction from him, the students turn their heads towards Akane, who is staring at the sleeping Ranma with shock and utter disbelief. A girl sitting next to Akane speaks up.) Girl:Didja hear that, Akane? Ranma just confessed his love. Akane:(Blushing)................. AnotherGirl:I can't believe it! He finally told you he loves you! Aren't you happy? Akane:(Blushing even more)................ (From the other side of the room, Ranma screams out in his sleep again.) Ranma:(Still asleep)I love you, Akane! I fell in love with you since the first day we met! Can't you see that I have always loved you? Girl:Wow, Akane! You're so lucky! Having Ranma confess his love like that, and in the middle of class.(Sigh)I wish I was you. Akane:(Blushing terribly)Uh.......... Ranma:(Reaching out as if he's trying to grab something...or someone)Akane, please......don't leave me! I need you! I want to be with you! Girl:Akane, I wish I was you! Ranma:(Acting out as if he were hugging something...or someone)I promise you won't regret staying with me. I love you, Akane.(Smiles as he hugs the air) Oh thank you. I love you I knew you wouldn't leave me. I always wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. I love you. Let me kiss you.(Makes passionate kisses at the air in front of him) AnotherGirl:Ya hear that, Akane? He wants to spend the rest of his life with you. He also thinks he's kissin' ya.(Starry-eyed)That's so romantic. (At that moment, the bell rings. Ranma snaps wide-awake.) Ranma:Yes, the schoolday's over! (Ranma quickly gets out of his seat, not even realizing all the students staring at him. He runs across the room and grabs hold of Akane's hand and sprints down the hallway. He wanted to be the first one out of the school. He also didn't want to be run over by the mob of students that were on their way out.) Ranma:Let's take the quickest way out! Akane:(Staring dumbfounded at him)................ (Before Akane had a chance to tell Ranma to stop, Ranma leaps out an open window, bringing her along for the ride. Akane shrieks out in terror when she realizes they just jumped out of a third story window. But before they hit the ground, Ranma gracefully twists in mid-air and lands on his feet, Akane in his arms.) Ranma:(Still holding Akane)Gomen! I didn't meant to scare you like that(Puts her down and smiles at her) Akane:(Noticing how happy Ranma looked)Um....why're you so happy? (She had to know if it was because of the dream) Ranma:(Starry-eyed)I just had the greatest dream while I was asleep in class. It was the best I ever had. Akane:(Blushing)................. Ranma:C'mon, lets go home!(Heads down the street) Akane:(Already knowing the answer)What was it? I mean the dream. What was it about? Ranma:(Smiling)That's gonna be my little secret. (Akane stares at him for a moment, blinking a couple of times, as he casually hops onto a fence, strolling along, whistling happily. He takes a couple of steps before realizing that Akane was still standing there. He turns to look at her, smiling.) Ranma:(Smiles warmly)Hey, Akane, are't ya comin' along? Akane:(Still blushing)H-hai. (The two head for home) I'd like to say that the characters in this story were created by Rumiko Takahashi and I would never infringe on her works.
