People who lean forward in their chairs are idiots
I'm sure this has happened to you on more than one occasion. A person is sitting in a chair that happens to be blocking your path. So what do you do? You ask them politely to move so you can squeeze by. But what happens? They lean forward in their seats as if that helps.
It happens to me all the time. That's so goddamn annoying. What pisses me off is that people don't seem to realize that I don't need them to move. I need them and their CHAIR to move so I can get by.
When they lean forward in your chair, that does NOTHING to help me squeeze by. That is because the thing that's actually blocking me is that damn chair they're sitting in. Those people ought to know that leaning forward in their chair is about as helpful as asking George Foreman for baby name suggestions.
You know what it's equivalent to, leaning forward in your seat but not actually moving the seat? Seeing someone sitting in the passenger side of a coupe (two-door car) and asking him to move so you can climb into the car and into the back seat and the person just leans forward in his seat without actually shifting the car seat forward. Gee, that really helps.
What help does leaning forward in the chair provide anyway? What, you want the upper half of me to be able to squeeze by? Don't you see that if I can't squeeze my legs through, what the hell the use of leaning forward and providing enough room for my upper body through if my legs can't squeeze through?
People who lean forward in their chairs when someone needs to squeeze by them are idiots.
