The BMW Z3 isn't The James Bond Car...

You're walking down the street with a friend and you see a cool-looking car. You recognize that car. It's the BMW Z3, the car your friend happens to refer to as the 'James Bond Car'.

Man, I can't STAND hearing that car referred to as the 'James Bond Car'. That applies for the BMW Z3 and the other 'James Bond Cars', like the Aston Martin Vanquish, BMW Z8, and various other cars. Oddly enough, most people recognize it as the 'James Bond Car' because that's where they first saw that car, when James Bond was driving it in the movie, Golden Eye. That's where the car was first seen. It's so goddamn annoying hearing people refer to a certain car as the 'James Bond Car'. It's as annoying as hearing the words 'Super Saiyan-jin' when referring to something/someone getting REALLY pissed off. Come on man, why do you hafta associate something with something else? Ah, because it's an easier form of association for people? That's just stupid. You're assuming the person knows who James Bond is and the car he drives or that the person watches Dragon Ball Z.

"Wow, that's the 'James Bond's car'" someone says. Riiiight. Think about it. You're referring to a car driven by a fictional character in a fictional movie with a fictional plot. Who gives a shit!? I carry a brown backpack when I was attending school, does that mean I'm carrying 'The Ryoga Backpack'? Do people give a shit?! Of course they don't, so why the fuck do people refer to the Z3 as the 'James Bond Car'?

Why do people refer the BMW Z3 as the 'James Bond Car' anyway? Because it's easier for people to associate it with something they're familiar with? If that's the case, shouldn't they refer to the Mazda RX-8 as 'The X-Men Car'? The Mazda RX-8 showed up in X-Men 2 movie for the first time and that is where people got their first glimpse of it. Oddly enough, it isn't referred to as that. How come?

The BMW Z3 is NOT the 'James Bond Car'.

It's 'The BMW Z3'.
