(Opening scene: It is now late late Friday night. We are inside the Tendo home where we see both Ranma and Akane walking through the dark house. They are tip toeing because they don't want to wake anyone up. Ranma is leading the way up the stairs while Akane follows closely behind him. He suddenly stops, causing Akane to bump into his back.) Akane: (Softly)Why'd you stop? Ranma: (Sniffs the air)Something smells good. Akane: Oh, that's probably the leftovers from the meal Kasumi had made. Ranma: (Eyes widening)Leftovers? All right! Akane: Shhh Ranma: Yeah yeah, I know.(Heads back down stairs) Akane: Where are you going? Ranma: To the kitchen. Akane: ................. (Ranma disappears around the corner. Akane stands on the stairway for a moment.) Akane: (Thinking)Should I go up to my room or go down to the kitchen also? Hm, I guess I'll grab a bite to eat also. (Akane realizes that she now has her appetite back after having seen that scary movie. All thanks to Ranma, she had totally forgotten about it. Akane goes back downstairs and into the kitchen where she sees Ranma sitting by the table eating the chicken curry from leftover dish.) Ranma: (Looks up)I thought you were going upstairs. Akane: Um, nah. I'm a bit hungry also. Ranma: Didn't ya eat earlier? Akane: Well, yeah, but I guess I didn't eat all that much before. Ranma: Heh, you can eat even after having seen that movie? Akane: ...................... Ranma: Well, there's not much left. If I knew ya wanted some, I woulda saved some for you. Akane: (Smirks)Well, how thoughtful of you. (Ranma walks over to the counter and grabs a clean plate. He scoops the contents of his dish onto the plate and then hands it to Akane. Akane stares down at the plate.) Ranma: What? Ya don't want it now? Akane: No, it's not that. Ranma: Then what is it? Akane: (Defensively)I could have done that myself, y'know. Ranma: Huh? Akane: I could have prepared the leftovers for myself. I didn't need your help.(Thinking)But then again, that was nice of him to do that for me. He's never dones something like that before. Ranma: Jeez. What are ya getting mad at me for? I didn't even realize I did that until ya mentioned it to me. Akane: ....................... Ranma: Fine, if it'll make ya any happier, I'll scoop everything back and you can make it yourself.(Picks up Akane's plate) Akane: No. Um, forget it. Ranma: Man, what's with you all of a sudden? Akane: W-what do you mean? Ranma: Why are you all jumpy all of a sudden? Akane: Me? Jumpy? No, I'm not.(Thinking)It's just that I'm not all that hungry. Afterall, I ate dinner a short while ago and Ryoga had stayed. Oh no....Ryoga. Does Ranma know that Ryoga ate over? Ranma: (Looks at dish)Hm, there seems to be a lot less leftovers than usual. Did you bring a friend over? Kasumi usually makes way more food than there is needed. Akane: F-friend? No. Ranma: (Shrugs shoulders)All right. I was just asking. It was just curious. It's just that judging from the food left, although I wasn't here yet it seems like I had been.(Chuckles) Akane: ........................(Thinking)Gee, I never knew Ranma looked so cute when he's laughing like that.......What am I thinking?! This is Ranma I'm thinking about!!! The same jerk that nearly gave me a heart attack a short while ago!!! But then again....he does look cute... Ranma: What? Why are ya looking at me like that? Akane: N-nothing. (Turns away) Ranma: (Thinking)D-did I just see her blush? Nah, it must be the light.(Continues eating) Akane: (Thinking)Say something, Akane. The tension is killing me! I feel like I'm going to scream!(Speaks)So, Ranma, um, w-what do you think of the leftovers? Ranma: (Stops for a moment)Eh? The leftovers? The taste good, as always.(Continues eating) Akane: Curry's one of your favorite dishes, ne? Ranma: (Mummbles)Uh huh. Akane: So I'm right? Ranma: (Mummbles)Uh huh. Why? Akane: Oh, nothing. It's just that I recall seeing you eat curry a lot, that's all. I figured you liked curry a lot. Ranma: (Mummbles)Yep. (Awkward silence) Akane: Y'know, you could try and be a little more talkative. Ranma: (Stops eating)Huh? Now what? Akane: I'm trying to make some small talk, but you just mumble your answers. Ranma: (Swallows)For you information, I didn't wanna talk with my mouth full. That's why I was mumbling. Akane: ....................... Ranma: All right. If ya wanna talk, what do you want to talk about?(Folds arms in front on table and looks directly at Akane) Akane: .......................(Thinking)Does he have to look at me like that? Ranma: Well? Akane: (Notices something)What's that on your hand? Ranma: (Looks at bandaged hand)........................... Akane: Did you get hurt? Ranma: (Getting angry)No. Akane: ....................... Ranma: Forget about it. It's nothing. (Thinking)Damn that maitre d'. He was such a jerk.... Akane: You were fighting, weren't you? Ranma: (Snaps)No, I wasn't! Akane: ....................... Ranma: (Calms down)Forget it. Let's change the subject. I didn't mean to snap at you like that. Akane: Here lettme see.(Reaches out) Ranma: (Jerks hand away)I said to forget about it. Akane: Jeez, I was just concerned. Ranma: ......................(Sighs)All right. Fine. You want to look at it? Akane: (Defensive)No, not anymore. I was wrong to have been concerned about you. Hmph. Ranma: All right. Fine. Akane: Fine. (Awkward silence. Ranma continues to eat. Akane stares down at her plate of food.) Ranma: (Finished with food)Aren't ya gonna eat that? Akane: No. I lost my appetite. Ranma: W-was it because of me? Akane: (Angry)Yes.........(Apologetically)No........(Softly)maybe. Ranma: What? What did I do? Akane: (Snapping)You're such a jerk. Ranma: Huh? Now what? Akane: You're so insensitive. You should be more like Ryoga............ (Akane's eyes widen at the realization of what she had said. She notices the muscles in Ranma's mouth tightening.) Ranma: (Gets up)I'm gonna goto sleep now. (Leaves kitchen)Goodnight. Akane: Ranma, wait. (Ranma turns around and faces Akane as she rushes out into the hallway to meet him) Ranma: Yeah? Akane: .................um................. Ranma: Goodnight.(Heads up the stairs) Akane: (Thinking)Damnit! Why'd I go and say something like that? (Akane stands alone in the hallway. She hears the door to Ranma's room open and then close. Everything becomes deathly silent. She stands there for several minutes. She sighs before going back to the kitchen.) Akane: (Scrapes leftovers into garbage can)Damnit. I had to go and open my big mouth. (She shuts the light before heading upstairs and into her room, defeated) (The scene changes. It is now a beautiful Saturday morning. Akane comes down the stairs dressed in her pajamas. She looks like she had little sleep last night. She spots Ranma and Genma going about their usual sparring session. She watches Ranma as he spars. To her surprise, Ranma manages to defeat Genma easily, shoulder throwing him onto the ground, hard.) Ranma: (Taunting)Bah, I hope you could do better than that.(Thinking)Gee, that was easy. Genma: (Getting up)I'm not through with you yet, boy. (Genma charges Ranma, only to get throw haflway across the yard.) Ranma: What a lame attack.(Thinking)Gee, what's with the old man? He's usually harder to beat. Genma: (Thinking)Ranma has gotten a lot better. But how? I rarely ever see him fight and those to do fight are mere push-overs. His mind seems much more focused and at attention than ever. Kasumi: Breakfast is ready. (Everyone gathers the table to eat dinner. As everyone eats, Ranma notices Akane is still in her pajamas.) Ranma: Didn't go on your usual morning jog? Akane: No.(Thinking)Is he still angry at me? He doesn't look like he's still angry. Ranma: I was just wonderin'. That's all.(Continues eating) Soun: Oh, I am so happy. You two are growing closer and closer together. Afterall, a fiancee will always show concern toward a loved one. Genma: You make me proud, boy. Ranma: Hmph.(Continues eating) Akane: ..................... (From out of nowhere, Happousei appears, carrying a bag of panties) Happousei: What a haul! What a haul! (In an instant, Ranma punches Happousei as he makes an attempt to lunge onto Akane's chest, sending him flying into orbit) Akane: ...................um, thanks, Ranma. Ranma: It's not like I did that to help you out. I just wanted to nail the old lech out. Akane: (Getting angry)Well, it's not like I needed your help anyway. Nabiki: (Rolls eyes)Here we go again. Ranma: What do ya mean by that? Nabiki: It's the same thing over and over every morning. You say something. Akane gets angry and says something back. You say something to provoke her. The two of you argue once again. Ranma: ...................... Akane: ...................... Ranma: (Smirks)All right. Fine. Then I'll do something different for a change.(Turns to Akane)I'm sorry, Akane. I shouldn't had said that. Nabiki: .....................(Thinking)D-did Ranma say that? Akane: (Looks at him oddly)Is something the matter with you, Ranma? Ranma: Nope. Nabiki: Something's up. Ranma: W-what makes you say that? Nabiki: You beat up you father in your morning sparring match. Genma: I let him win. Ranma: Whatever you say, old man. Nabiki: (Continuing)You manage to beat up the old lech with one punch. Ranma: (Looks at fist)That does sound strange. I've never managed to knock him out like that. Nabiki: And no you apologize to Akane for being a jerk. Ranma: Hey! How was I bein' a jerk? Nabiki: Anyway, something seems wrong here. Ranma: There's nothing wrong here. It's just that I'm sick and tired of the same usual morning routine. So, I'm gonna try and change that. Nabiki: Hm, next thing we know, you probably won't change into a girl anymore. Ranma: .................... (Happousei appears out of nowhere carrying a bucket of water) Happousei: You'll pay for that, Ranma!(Splashes Ranma with water) Ranma: Why you!!!(Punches Happousei into orbit) Akane: ....................... Nabiki: ....................... Genma: ...................... Soun: ....................... Ranma: What? Kasumi: You didn't change into a girl. Ranma: I-I didn't? Genma: Son! Have you found the nanichuan?! Ranma: No......oh yeah. I know why I didn't change. Akane: Why? Ranma: I used that instant nanichuan. I guess it didn't wear off from the other day. Akane: Instant nanichuan? Why did you need to use that? Ranma: Um............... Akane: (Curious)Well? Ranma: None of your business.(Thinking)Damn, I should be able to come up with a better excuse than that. Akane: (Hurt).................. Ranma: ..................(Thinking)Hm, maybe I shouldn't had said that. Akane: You got it from Shampoo, right? Ranma: Um, well.........yeah. What I do is my business. Nabiki: Here we go again. Akane: Ranma you jerk!(Pulls out a mallet) (Angry, Ranma does an open hand strike toward Akane's mallet, breaking it off its handle.) Ranma: (Angry)Don't you dare even think of hitting me anymore! (Akane attempts to slap Ranma, only to find herself missing him as he skillfully ducks under her swing. However, when Ranma stands back up, Akane uses her other hand and slaps him in his other cheek. Everyone winces when they hear just how loud it was. With a big palm print on his cheek, Ranma glares at Akane) Ranma: I betcha that hurt you more than it did me. Akane: ..........................(Thinking)My hand is throbbing. It was like slapping a solid brick wall. Ranma: I'm leaving.(Turns around) Genma: Where are you going, boy? Ranma: Out! Anywhere away from Akane! Akane: (Fuming)Good! I would have it no other way! Ranma: Fine! Akane: Fine!!! (Ranma leaves the house, never looking back. After a minute, the tension that had filled the room is released when Kasumi speaks) Kasumi: Oh my, Akane. You should have Dr. Tofu take a look at your hand. It's all swollen and red. Akane: (Looks at hand).......................... (The scene changes onto Ranma where we see him walking down a random street. He is talking to himself.) Ranma: Why'd she go and slap me like that? It's none of her business on what I do!(Kicks a pebble) (The pebble sails through the air and strikes a familiar looking person. We realize its Ryoga) Ranma: Ryoga. Ryoga: (Sneering)Why you! You did that on purpose! Ranma: (Angry)Fine, ya wanna fight?(Thinking)After what happened back there, I need to let out some steam.... Ryoga: Die, Ranma!!!(Charges) (Ranma seems to move like lightning as he lands a vicious open hand strike right against Ryoga's chest, sending him flying bodily into a nearby wall, the wall collapsing down on him.) Ranma: Jeez, what a lame attack. (Taunts)Is that all ya have, P-chan? Ryoga: (Slowly getting up)D-don't call m-me P-chan.(Collapses to the floor unconsious) Ranma: Ryoga? (We see Ranma trying to wake Ryoga up but to no avail. We then see Ranma sigh and pick Ryoga up and throwing him over his shoulder and then proceed down the street toward Dr. Tofu's. He doesn't make it farther than a block before Kuno appears out of nowhere and ambushes him) Kuno: Ranma, what have you done with my pig-tailed goddess? Ranma: (Exasperated)C'mon, do I hafta spell it out for ya? I killed her.... Kuno: You lie! Prepare to-erk! (Kuno is knocked unconsious by a well placed kick by Ranma, who was still carrying an unconsious Ryoga) Ranma: Kuno? (Realizing Kuno is also unconsious)Damnit! (Ranma picks up Kuno and throws him over the other shoulder. Carrying both Ryoga and Kuno, Ranma proceed toward Dr. Tofu's.) Ranma: (Thinking)Hmph, I'm only gonna help Kuno out because he gave me all that money when I was in my girl form back then.... (Ranma head down the street. As he nears Dr. Tofu's he hears someone call out his name. He looks around and soon spots Reia and Akemi) Ranma: Oh. Hi. Reia: H-hi, Ranma. Akemi: Hiya. Reia: (Eyes widening)Oh my god! Ranma: What? Reia: Y-you killed Ryoga! We didn't ask you to kill him! We just wanted you to talk harshly to him! But now you killed him! (Ranma breaks out in a fit of laughter) Akemi: What's so funny? Ranma: The expressions on your faces. I didn't kill him. He's just unconsious. Reia: Um, why's he unconsious? Ranma: We were fighting. Reia: Fighting? But we didn't want you to fight him. We only wanted you to talk to him. Ranma: (Chuckles)No. Don't worry about it. We always fight. We usually, um, train together. It's just that I managed to defeat him today. Akemi: Oh. So that means it wasn't from you beating up Ryoga because we asked you to? Ranma: Nope. Reia: Why not? Ranma: Huh? Reia: Why didn't you beat him up? Ranma: Whoa. Hold up here. What are ya talking about? Reia: We want you to beat him up(Points at Ryoga) Ranma: Um, why? Akemi: Reia and I saw him walking into the movies yesterday with this other girl aside from our friend Ranko. Ranma: (Thinking)Oh yeah, Akane mentioned Ryoga had been with her. I guess he really did get lost after stepping out of the theater.(Speaks)Um, so what would you like me to do about this? Reia: (Jokingly)Beat him up. Ranma: Okay. (Ranma drops Ryoga on the ground and proceeds to kick him) Reia: Oh my god!! Stop!!! Ranma: Eh? Akemi: W-we didn't want you to REALLY beat him up!!! Ranma: Y-you didn't? Reia: (Akemi)Oh no! If Ryoga's got any broken ribs, it'll all be our fault, because we told Ranma to do it. I don't want to goto jail for being an accomplice to an assult. Akemi: Me neither. Ranma: (Laughing)Relax. Relax. Ryoga's a strong guy. He'll be find. I was only joking around. Reia: (Hands on hips)And so were we. You didn't really have to go and kick him like that. Ranma: But you just said....... Akemi: What we say and what we mean are totally different. We didn't really want you to beat him up. Why do you have to take everything so literal. Ranma: (Sighs)All right. I'll leave him alone. Reia: Good. Akemi: All right. Ranma: Um, so, what are you two doing around here? You're a bit far away from home. Akemi: We wanted to go find Ranko and tell her about what we saw last night. We want to tell her that we saw Ryoga walking into a theater with another girl. Ranma: (Thinking)This is gonna spell trouble. I hafta think of something. Oh, I have an idea.(Speaks)You mean about last night? Akemi: Yeah. What, you know about it? Ranma: Yeah. Um, that was his sister....Yoiko. Reia: It was? Ranma: Uh huh.(Thinking)Great. Now how am I gonna pull this one off. I guess it shouldn't be too hard. I mean, I've played Ryoga's sister once before, and Akane couldn't even tell so I guess I can do it again if it need be. Akemi: Oh! That was his sister! I'm so relieved! Reia: Yeah. Me too.(To Ranma)You see, we thought Ryoga was cheating on Ranko. Ranma: Oh. I get it. Reia: But now that you told us she's his sister, that's a whole different story. Akemi: Man, do we feel stupid for jumping to conclusion. Reia: Yeah. Ranma: Don't worry about it. Everyone jumps to conclusions. Reia: Well, now that things are cleared up. I guess we should get going then. Akemi: Yeah. Let's go over to Ranko's house. Ranma: Y-you're going to g-go over to Ranko's house? Akemi: Yeah. Since we're here. The three of us and Shori can all go out shopping or something. Ranma: Um.....Ranko's went to Hokkaido to visit an old friend. She won't be back for a while. Akemi: Oh. I guess it'll be useless dropping by then. Ranma: Uh huh. Reia: Fine. We better get going then. Akemi: Hey Ranma, how did your date with Shori go? Reia: Akemi! Don't ask him something like that. Akemi: Fine. Ranma: (Smirks)Yeah, I guess you're gonna hafta wait until Shori tells you the whole thing. Akemi: How'd you know? Reia: No! That's the oldest trick in the book! Ranma: I know now. Reia: (Sighs)Nevermind. Ranma: (Chuckles)Well, I better get going now. I guess I'll see ya around. Reia: Yeah. Akemi: Bye, Ranma. Reia: Bye. Ranma: Later. (Ranma, carrying Kuno and Ryoga, go down one street while Reia and Akemi another. After walking for around ten minutes, Ranma finally arrives at Dr. Tofu's. He uses his foot to open the door since his arms were in use. Upon entering the clinic, he was surprised to see that there was already someone in there aside from Dr. Tofu himself.) Akane: Ranma.
