Another Story: The Lost Epilouge

Day 1: I lay, sinking into the sheets, staring up at the ceiling in the darkness. The door creaks, drawing my attention. "It's almost time to go." He warns, as I sit up, not daring to take my eyes off the ceiling. "I'll be down soon." I tell him with out thinking, only wanting to stay.

He laughed. "I know that means you want another hour. Anything for another hour, is it?" he asked. I shook my head. "No," I said, turning my head to face him. "I'm saying I wish not to go. It's not my place to decide, though." I smile, although inwardly I'd love to cry.

He takes my hand, and I step out into the light, squinting in vain attempts to see. "I swear the crystal walls make this place brighter." He laughs again. "I think you're the bright one." He added.

It's not that I don't want to do this, but it's all so painful. Saving the world when you're 11 is one thing, but doing it again when you're 18 seems impossible. You practically guess the few days you'll sustain life, you're no longer foolish and carefree.

I'm Shori Tsukino. 7 years ago I fell into the world of the legendary Sailor Senshi. I helped them, and discovered that I myself was a senshi, and that I alone could maneuver destiny. I married Shingo, who I fell in love with along the way. We all live in Neo Crystal Tokyo now.

I don't mean to sound so grim, but it's not the best situation. All my friends are in danger, and I alone am not sure I can save them. The king and queen as well as the entire senshi were captured! They are on a far away planet.

You know how Manhattan is connected to New York? Well, there is a small planet called Ginmokusei connected to the larger, Kinmokusei. On Ginmokusei the bodies of all my dearest friends are hung at the gallows. I have 5 days to save them.

They're all missing their star seeds, though. When they were all captured, the star seeds took on another form. They're all little dolls! They're cute, and they act just like their selves. They can't talk though. We're taking them with us to Ginmokusei. Oh, we is Shingo and I. We're the only ones that managed to be away when terror struck.

The evil behind this, you ask? The opposite senshi. There aren't six of them anymore. There are 10!!! I foresaw it all. Besides the first six, there's now one for every Outer. Neptune's is Opposite Kutalu, Uranus's is Opposite Damkina, Pluto's is Opposite Ea, and Saturn's is Opposite Mummu.

When we opened the door adjascent to ours, we saw each doll scurrying about, doing something. Ami doll was combing her hair, and Setsuna doll was sitting atop a book, reading the giant text. Michiru doll was brushing Hotaru dolls hair, and Haruka was running around the room. Mako doll was trying to clean up, and Rei doll was fervently praying. Mamoru doll was trying to wake up Usagi doll, and Minako doll was jumping up and down.

"Everyone, hop into the bag, it's time to go!" They all rush from across the room, climbing into the bag. I left it open a little, it must be awfully dark in there. "Do you really think we can do this? It's one against ten, and I only have two attacks which may or may not work at given times. I have no ginzuishou to heal them, and they're all just as old as me, I think." Shingo shook his head. "You shouldn't worry, there's no Apsu. Oh, which reminds me, before we catch the next shuttle out, we're going down to the grave yard for Apsu's pendant. It might have influence over them." I smiled. He'd researched our enemies. Sometimes I think he wishes he could fight, too. I'm glad he doesn't, they'd have reason to kill him.

I walked through the old grave yard, feeling the still air on my bare arms. The gray sky matched the stone slabs around me. The grass was dark and worn in places, yet moist. I went over to the long stone coffin at the small shrine. The torches lit in there should be green, but alas are the same red fires.

I cautiously stepped up to the coffin, and knelt. I hated opening it. I'd be forced to look upon the corpse of a being I myself had killed. Killed for good, but all the same I killed her."Murderer." I muttered to myself. "You're a murderer. Don't open the box, you murdered her, isn't that enough?" I found my self saying it, but not meaning it. Like the words--- the words weren't mine. No, they weren't.

I decided to play along until I had the charm in my hands, then I'd have power. The power of the dragon isn't evil. It's just immense power, influenced by the heart that bears it. If I bear it, I might be able to get somewhere in this fight.

I slid open the lid, and saw the young looking face of pale skin, and the silver hair draped around her face. Her markings washed away, her headress laying in her lap under her limp hands, her bracelets and jewels stored away. The black dress was smooth and eerie. Then I saw it. After her bare feet, it lie. The celedon dragon sillouhette crested into the emerald. I grabbed it and felt it's smooth surface.

"I should leave before I damage the poor soul in hell, I should be the one in hell, burning my own flesh in guilt of--" I heard myself rambling on. "WHO GOES THERE?" I boomed in an unfarmilliar voice. "K-Kutalu, your highness Ti'amat. No wait, or is that you, Lord Apsu? Have you returned?" The frightened girl removed herself from the shadows.I wanted to quiver in fear, but a stern expression overcame my face. "Ti'amat! Lord Ti'amat, I'm so sorry!" Did she really think I was her leader? She was 12, but I suppose the original opposites are all 18...

I eyed Kutalu. She had long pale turquiose hair, and ice blue eyes. "I'll leave, Ti'amat! You must have warded her off, right?" I caught on, they had watched me. "Yes," I hissed. "I'll meet you later!" I scolded.

When I came out, I was laughing triumphantly. I hugged Shingo. "It's perfect!" I exclaimed. "What is?" He asked in confusion. "Opposite Kutalu thinks I'm her leader, Lord Ti'amat, who must be avenging Apsu! I can trick them!"

Shingo beamed. "Really? That's like winning without even trying!" We started dancing around the empty graveyard and left shortly for the shuttle port. Everything in Crystal Tokyo stopped, so places are empty and they all stay at home. They heard that the queen and her court fell ill, and no one does much any more.

We borded the shuttle, and got into our seats. It took off, and in minutes we were on the soil of Ginmokusei. I wore black sandals and silver garb, like most people there do. When I stepped out into the world, I dared not take another step in the silver sands, for my print would taint it's perfect form.

"Don't be scared, because we just have to find them, let them loose, and give them their star seeds, then they'll take care of everything." He said. I shook my head. "It's not that easy. We have to see a few people first." I remarked.

Rei had been just barely alive when I had gotten to the palace on that day, and she handed me a diary. "It's Star Fighter's," she said, before her star seed left her completely.

I didn't mean to be nosey, but I read it. It must have been very old, it dated far back. It made me cry a lot. I hadn't been there during that time, but I feel as if I know them now. I'm anxious to know if Seiya ever was requited in her love for Princess Kakyuu. Besides, they're my one shot at help. Galaxia as well. She's good now that chaos was destroyed.

"So where would we find these... friends of yours?" Shingo asked, peering over my shoulder at the map. "Well, they're Usagi's friends, actually... they won't know me, so I might want to go transformed. According to the map, we should go here, where the Ginmoku Capitol is located." I pointed to a red and silver striped star on the map. "That will only take us 10 minutes by foot." He said, taking my hand.

Outside the building I moved to the shadows and drew forth a familliar object. "Friendship Prism Gift!" I exclaimed, and let my powers wash over me. The feeling was refreshing, but old, so very old....

"Ok, let's go." Shingo said. I shook my head. "What's wrong?" he asked, seeing my eyes cloud. "I-- I lost it.." I said, a cramping feeling in my head. "Lost what? Shori, are you ok?" He asked, helping my stand. "My destiny powers... they've ceased..." I said, biting my lip. "Will you be ok?" he asked me. "Yes, let's go in. I can't waste their time, especially when I don't know what their time holds."

The gates opened, and I stood straight, trying to look like a true warrior. That, I am not. I was on loan, a temporary soldier, but my powers were never revoked.

A soldier stood in the doorway. "What business have you at the capitol, miss?" he asked me. "Protecter of the White Moon." I said, opening my locket to show the amizuishou, the friendship crystal. It's my equivalent to Usagi's ginzuishou.

"Soldier of the White Moon, Princess Kakyuu is absent from her position today. However, one of her bodyguards is here. Would you like a conference?" He asked me.

"Yes, that would be fine, thank you." I said. "Who is it?" Shingo asked me. "That could mean any of the Sailor Starlights." I told him.

We proceeded down the hall, led by a guard. He knocked on the wooden doors that had an olive tree eblem carved on them, like all the rest in the corridor.

"A Soldier of the White Moon has come to speak with you, your honor." The guard said. "I'll send them in."

I felt nervous. Who was it? Would they be willing to help me? Would they even remember all those years ago? I do have a few powers that might be able to help, but my destiny power is pretty much shot.

The doors creeked as theopened, and echoed as they closed shut. "I, Sailor Purinsesu, Soldier of the White Moon, have come in a state of urgency." I said, bowing on one knee with Shingo doing the same beside me.

"H-has Usagi sent you?" I heard. I looked up. "She would've," I said quietly, eying the raven haired sailor senshi. "What happened to her?" I swallowed. "Her star seed has become a doll, and her body hangs in the gallows." I annouced, tears in my eyes.

"Please, rise." she said. We stood, and I grabbed hold of Shingo's hand. "The other scouts, Mercury, Jupiter, Mars, Venus, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Saturn, where have they all gone?" she asked. "The same horrible fate bestowed upon our dear king and queen occured upon them as well."

She looked at me strangely. "King? Usagi, she really married that fellow?" she asked, her voice slightly shaken. "That fellow was the former prince of Earth, they were destined to wed." I told her. "I see." She said.

"I should inroduce myself." she said, trying her best to smile. "I'm Sailor Star Fighter." I gasped. "I should have held my tongue." I said in awe. "I had no idea..." She laughed. "Now, who are you two?" She asked. "I'm Sailor Purinsesu, and this is my husband, Usagi's brother Shingo."

Star Fighter laughed again. "Did they let you join for family ties?" she asked. We all laughed. "No, I was a temporary mission guide long ago." I said.

I was nudged by shingo who whispered, "The diary." I fumbled with the book in my hands. "I believe this belongs to you. Mars gave it to me before she was lost." I explained, extending the book.

"But I threw this away years ago," she said. "Well, someone got it to Mars, who obviously kept it for a long time." I assumed. She laughed bitterly. "This is from when I was eight, and up until I left Earth." She video-contacted someone. "Kakyuu, would you mind coming down to Ginmoku Capitol? I have something for you." She said. "Sure," I heard. "I'll be there shortly."

Soon there was a knock at the door, and three people entered. Two clad alike Star Fighter, who were of course Star Healer and Star Maker, and one who was breath takingly beautiful. She wore crimson robes and her hair was adorned in olive blossoms. "Here," She said, tossing it to the comely woman. "Seiya," a green eyed soldier adressed Star Fighter. "Who are they? Is she-- Is she a Solar System Senshi?!" She asked. The other soldier asked, "What are they doing here? What's wrong?"

We all sat down and explained the situation. It took a while, and I kept looking at Seiya and Princess Kakyuu. Were they? I thought. Apparently not... I shouldn't have pried, now I'm sad.

The other three left, and I stayed to speak with Seiya. I asked Shingo to wait outside the doors while I did. I hoped that she didn't mind. It was awfully rude of me to even do such a thing.

"Is there anything more I need to know?" She asked me. I shook my head. "I need to ask you something." I said slowly. "What's wrong? You seem upset." She said. I took a deep breath.

"Why in the world are you and Kakyuu still platonic friends? It's clear that you love her!" I said with a lot of emotions in my head. "Don't you see it? Kakyuu's a princess, I'm just her servant. Before that I was nothing but a kid on the streets. She wouldn't feel for me in a million years." Seiya said, casting her gaze downwards. "But you spent months on Usagi, so why not Kakyuu, your true love? You can't give up just like that." I said. "Just leave it be, Shori. I'm here to save the senshi, not to solve my petty problems."

Shingo and I left after that, we were going to try and track down the opposite hide out. I smiled, yet for no reason at all. "I must be slap happy," I said, bursting into laughs. "You could use a laugh! It's nice to see you smile again." He said.

Suddenly I felt sick. "Maybe you ought to see a doctor, Shori. You've been acting awfully moody and then you just burst out all happy, and well, I just think maybe you're coming down with something." he said. "Yeah, thanks, tenshi." I said.

Ami's computer did a scan on me. I dressed, and read the results. "No viruses found, no cavaties, no mental imbalances,---" I stopped and glared at the last detail. "SHINGO!" I screamed.

He rushed in the room as I started to convulse with tears. I showed him the screen. He looked at me wide eyed. "That's impossible. Shori, that's just impossible!" He gasped, fear beyond the universe extended into his eyes.

There we were, sitting up late one night. "Shingo, did you ever think about having a child?" He looked up from his book. "Yes, but it's a descion we both should make." he said. "I'm just thinking, the poor child would have to put up with my powers, and I don't want to force that on anyone." I cautiously remarked. "I guess your right... Shori, we musn't have children, for their sake." he said. "I'm sorry, tenshi. I just wouldn't be able to do that to a defenseless child..."

I snapped back from the memory. "The Opposites." I said clear, as if it had come to me. "What?" he asked, unsure of the words I had rushed. "The Opposites did this. It's cancelling out my power.... making me useless...." I trailed off.

Shingo held my hand. "Don't cry, we'll get a child out of this. Isn't that what we want? Truley, if you went through this, you can surely guide our child. Shori, please trust in the child who has yet to live. You wouldn't want to rob it of it's life, would you?" I smiled.

"Hey, speaking of 'it', what gender is it?" I asked Shingo. He scrolled down the computer screen. "She's a little girl." He said, smiling. "What about names?" I said.

"I'LL GIVE YOU A NAME!" A voice boomed. A figure crashed through the ceiling of the little room we were staying in. "Is that?!" I called to Shingo, my eyes unbeliving. "It is, Shori. You've just met your match." I felt faint and weak. "You're not real, you can't be real." I muttered, breathing harshly.

"Remember me, do you?" he hissed. "Friendship Prism Gift!" I shouted, and transformed again. "You're not here to ruin my life again!" I shouted. He laughed at me. "I'm just here to take it!"

I drew forth the pendant I had collected from Apsu's grave. "Manifest Destiny Dragon!" I shouted, and a roaring dragon of green fire knocked Hoshi to the ground. "Don't bother coming back." I spat. "I am. I'm coming back for the saviour!" he yelled. "Saviour?" I asked, confused, but I did not let down my guard.

"Yes, you carry the saviour child of destiny. Upon it's birth I shall take it from you and use it to make destiny my own!" he declared. As he stood in pride a fist flew into his face. "That is my child, and you shall not harm her!" Shingo said. Hoshi disapeared then.

End! Watch for Day 2. It's a comin'..... Anyway, I hope everyone had fun entering and viewing the contest entries!
